Today started off with a scrumptious breakfast of cheesy eggs, bacon, bread, and cantaloupe.

Campers engaged in morning Focus Areas including Mountain Biking, Puzzles, Sock Puppets, BUILD (our woodworking program), Capstone (a noteworthy experience for our eldest campers), and Wednesday Night Live (a groundbreaking and hilarious segment in the talent show). Some of our afternoon Focus Areas included Thanksgiving Arts & Crafts, Farm & Garden, Beginner Sailing, Country Club, Book Club, and Glee Club. The clubs are hoppin’ around here! We’re keeping cool in this heat with lots of trips to the waterfront and mandatory water breaks.

Electives today are carrying out Casino Night Prizes. Last week, teams bid on prizes using money they earned from the camp casino. Currently, campers are collecting invasive beetles, running a lemonade stand, embarking on a short drive to a waterfall, removing milfoil from the lake, and enjoying an ice cream party.

The Greecey Cup is the highest contested pursuit happening on camp. I’m honestly not sure who won Survival last night, but we all sure had a blast. A line dancing elective is preparing us for the County Fair tonight. This isn’t the Best Western hotel, but the country tunes have begun. Everyone is donning their finest plaids, bandanas, and boots for the hoe down! Tip your hats and grab your potato sacks, because the Wild West is on its way.
