Today started with a hearty breakfast of pancakes and sausage before campers jumped into community work time. Every morning, campers help keep Hosmer running by tackling jobs like micro trash, sorting lost and found, sweeping cabins, and other daily chores. It's all part of working together to take care of camp.

Our morning focus areas are in full swing! The beginner mountain bikers are looking much less like beginners these days, while Farm & Garden campers cooked up some tasty treats. Field Games kept our most energetic campers moving, and Dungeons & Dragons featured campaigns led by both staff and campers. For those looking for a quieter morning, Puzzles offered a relaxing challenge. And my personal favorite: Sock Puppets, where campers created their own characters, complete with names, lore, and, of course, socks.

Lunch was Taco Tuesday, always a camp favorite.

This afternoon, beginner sailing took advantage of another stretch of great wind, and waterfront electives made the most of the lake. Campers battled it out in Vikings on paddleboards, belted out their favorite songs at karaoke, and participated in Smelling Bee (your guess is as good as mine!). Glee Club choreographed a dance they'll perform at the talent show later this week.

Our LITs also headed out on a card hike, a solo experience where campers follow a trail of cards that invite them to slow down, reflect, and connect with nature, camp, and themselves.

It got a little rainy this afternoon, but we're still having a blast!
