Yesterday wrapped up with a super fun and relaxing BBQ and Beach party! Campers got to hang out at our wonderful waterfront and have a picnic barbecue before kicking off the beach party with some swimming, spike ball, volleyball, and corn hole. Afterwards we had an all camp bonfire where Jon Hammond a previous longtime director at HP told one of his great stories. Then everyone enjoyed smores as we sang some campfire songs.

This morning we had a delicious apple cinnamon french toast bake with sausages on the side. We start the second week of focus areas today which include Book Club, Wearable Crafts, Sea Voyage Adventure, Beginner Sailing, Dungeons and Dragons and Guitar. Campers are eager for tonight’s evening activity of Survival, a long standing whole camp game where campers are chosen to be herbivores, omnivores, carnivores, humans, or diseases, and run laps around camp while trying to tag each other for points. The competitive spirit is especially high tonight after an intense Call of the Loon yesterday, where Hufflepuff unexpectedly swooped in for the win despite a treacherous start to the race. Campers have been drinking plenty of water today and slathering themselves in sunscreen. Those in Mermaid Princess Training learned that true mermaids always are hydrated.

Looking forward to another great day at camp!
