It's been another beautiful day at Hosmer Point!

Breakfast this morning was egg sandwiches with bacon, giving everyone plenty of energy for a fun-filled day. Today's Wacky Wednesday theme was Twin Day, and campers and counselors alike paired up with friends to match outfits all around camp. Everywhere you looked, there were doubles!

Even electives got into the spirit. Campers signed up for activities with fun names like SpongeBob & Patrick, Scooby-Doo & Shaggy, Mario & Luigi, and Pooh & Piglet. Behind the playful names were favorites like Counselor Appreciation, HP Café, Watercolor Painting, Disc Golf, Cloud Watching, and more.

Lunch featured BBQ chicken sandwiches, with veggie sandwiches available as well.

The sunshine stuck around all day, making it an especially great day for sailing out on the lake. With temperatures climbing, campers have been taking plenty of water breaks and applying sunscreen throughout the day to stay safe in the sun.

E3 has offered even more ways to cool off and have fun, with both the slip-and-slide and the camp store open. Whether campers wanted to grab a snack, browse the store, or race down the slide, there was something for everyone.

As I write this, campers are enjoying afternoon snack: fresh molasses cookies. Tonight they'll trade hiking boots for high rollers as we transform camp for one of the most anticipated evening activities of the session: Casino Night!

A Note from the Kitchen:

Hi everyone! It's been another busy and fun day in the kitchen. Before breakfast prep got underway, a few of us squeezed in some swimming and sculling on the lake to start the morning. For Twin Day, I teamed up with another staff member, and later we even made a trip to Farm & Garden to pick flowers for Counselor Appreciation. Now it's back to the kitchen to get dinner ready. Hope you're all enjoying following along with camp as much as we're enjoying being here!
