2025 Counselor Bios

 

Yun (she/they)

Lead Head Counselor

Currently living in Craftsbury, she is an aspiring ecologist; A huge plant person and a multidisciplinary artist specialized in fiber arts and printmaking. This is their 3rd year on camp! She is passionate about leading hands on activities like woodworking and arts & crafts, and looking forward to putting on some art exhibits, spending time outside, talent shows and reuniting with camp friends!

Anna M (she/her)

Head Counselor

From Shelburne, VT and currently going to school in Burlington, VT, this will be her 9th summer on camp! She is super excited to lead Capstone for our oldest campers and can't wait to get back to making some cool arts and crafts. Not to mention how stocked she is for polar bears and ALL the camp songs around the campfire. You will be sure to find her on the theater porch, relaxing with a nice breeze, making friendship bracelets and chatting with all the awesome campers!

Nina (she/her)

Head Counselor

From Waitsfield, VT and currently going to school at Middlebury, this will be her 10th summer on camp. Wacky fact about her is she can recite the alphabet backwards. She is looking foward to working with the LITs and CITs this summer, being on the water, playing stones, seeing all her friends and cool campers! Catch her lifeguarding, puzzling in the game room, or choreographing one of her epic Flash Mobs.

Sam or SSP (he/him)

Head Counselor

From Santa Fe, NM this will be his 8th summer at camp and 3rd year on staff. You'll be able to see him lots at the waterfront as the assistant waterfront director, where he loves lead all different waterfront activities like swimming, boating, waterfront games and jr. lifeguard training. He is excited to be a head counselor this year, potentially judge some lip syncs, help make pizzas on pizza night, and run laps around camp during the evening activity survival. He is looking forward to another great summer at camp with awesome counselors and campers alike!

Erin (she/her)

Head Counselor

From Hudson, MA this will be her 1st summer at camp. She decided to come to camp after meeting some really cool past counselors and directors while working in outdoor ed in California this past year. She often carries a deck of cards with her, and loves playing card games so be sure to find her and ask her to play! She is looking forward to swimming in the lake, making arts and crafts, and having a overall spectacular Vermont summer!

Elena (she/her)

From Burlington, VT this will be Elena's 8th summer at camp. She has a knack for music and is able to pick up musical instruments with ease, learning and playing any song she wants! She is hoping to make tons of friendship bracelets, paint, play ultimate frisbee, hang out at the waterfront and do some SUP yoga this summer. She is looking forward to see a lot of familiar faces and meeting a ton of new ones! Not to mention, getting back into all of the camp traditions and games, 4 cup competitions here she comes!

Patricio (he/him)

From Mexico, this will be his 3rd year on camp. He's excited to lead the focus area Task Masters and create cool and unique challenges for it. He loves to have fun at camp, is the ultimate costume curator, can make the best lemonade ever and is looking forward to spend time at the section fires. He is a camp counselor pro and is so kind; feel free to sit and chat with him anytime!

Marta (she/they/he)

From Madrid, Spain this will be her 2nd summer on camp. She enjoys the nature while playing sports, mountain biking, and being part of our awesome camp community! He is such a great personality on camp, super helpful, kind and full of energy. If you ever want to go for a run, they are always up for one!

Theo (he/him)

From Dedham, MA this will be his 10th summer at camp and 2nd as a counselor. He is looking forward to leading sailing, woodworking, trick shot making, Wednesday night live, guitar and SO many more. If you ever get lost he is the person you want around because he has innate sense of where north is not to mention a great sense of humor. An excavation enthusiast, his goal for this summer is to digeven bigger holes in even crazier spots this year, adn he can't wait to hear your ideas for where some of those places might be!

Gracie (she/her)

From South Burlington, VT this will be her 3rd summer on camp. She is our resident Sculling Instructor, who is great at helping all campers get out there on the water and feel confident in a shell. She is most looking forward to call of the loon (a cup competition we do half way through the session), sculling on the pond, and more than anything the talent show following the spectacular lip syncs! One of her special talents that comes in handy at camp is being able to guess the time without looking at a clock; but she knows that camp time equals best time.

Miguel or Mike (he/him)

From Mallorca, Spain this will be his 1st summer on camp. He is a teacher and has a degree in Elementary Education, and is hoping to be a future English teacher! He is so excited to come to our camp, improve his already great English, and learn about American culture. He is so upbeat, friendly, and always smiling! He can't wait to be outside, play all types of sports and have fun!

Josie (she/her)

From Williamstown, MA this will be her 9th summer at camp, having started as just a nervous ten-year-old but excited to come back every year after! She loves just being on camp, I mean who doesn't, but is especially looking forward to making music, appreciating nature, and sharing a laugh with campers. You will be sure to find her at every campfire singalong and make sure you take a hike with her because she can make a delicious salad out of plants she finds along the way!

Owen (he/him)

From Miami, FL this will be his 6th summer at camp. He loves leading the wacky and funny activities, clown college being one of his favorites. He is also enjoys sculling on big hosmer and can't wait to get out in the shells with campers. He is looking forward to having fun at the cup competitions, and rocking out at lip sync.

Anna T (she/her)

From the Scottish Borders and currently living in Dundee this will be her 1st summer on camp. She is so excited to spend time at the lake, maybe she will be a polar bear the whole summer! She has done a lot with theater groups and worked at the Dundee Science Center. She is looking forward to branching out and trying everything camp has to offer!

Tyler K (he/him)

From Philadelphia, PA this will be his 2nd summer at camp. He has worked with kids lots though in the past 4 years, including as a climbing coach in Philadelphia and with the Craftsbury academy after-school program. He is looking forward to leading a lot of nature activities and so excited to share his passion for the outdoors. He can't wait to compete again in the cup competitions and play gaga ball during E3.

Lucia (she/her)

From the Canary Islands, Spain this will her 1st summer on camp. Be sure to ask her about her awesome travels and how she can bring her elbows together behind her back. She is looking forward learning all about our cup competitions, connecting with nature, and finding the best spots on camp to read a book and relax.

Gabriel (he/him)

From Spain this will be his 1st summer at camp. He has traveled lots so be sure to ask him about some of the awesome places he has been. You find him all around camp, playing soccer or tennis, cooking in the garden, and enjoying the gorgeous views from the theater porch. He is looking forward to spending the summer in Vermont and seeing all the cool things camp has to offer.

Jonah (he/him)

From Roseland, NJ this will be his 1st summer on camp, NEW counselor alert! He is super excited to join our fun community, experiencing HP camp life, lip syncs, and creating things and memories with fabulous campers. He will be leading many build activites and has some sweet ideas of diffferent projects that we can't wait to see! Don't worry if something breaks though, he can fix anything with duct tape. He can't wait to see this beautiful place we call home and meet all of you!

Eva (she/her)

From Turon, a small town in northern Spain this will be her 1st summer at camp. Last summer she was camp counselor in Spain where she taught artistic swimming to kids. She is basically a mermaid! She is so excited to meet everyone, learn more about America and our culture, and have a great time!

Tyler M (he/him)

From Sudbury, MA and currently going to college in Waterville, ME this will be his 6th summer at camp, having previously been a camper, LIT, CIT and first year counselor. You will often find him doing something active like soccer, canoeing, waterfront games, and mountain biking. But don't be surprised when you see him at quieter activities too like painting or bracelet making, both activities he has discovered loving through trying them at camp! He is looking forward to spending so much of his day outside and the view from the theater porch. He can't wait to show off his skills at waaaaaaaterama!

Alexa (she/her)

From Williston, VT this will be her 7th summer at camp and she is SO excited to be back! She can't wait to lead trail adventures, be on the water and do some epic crafting. She is most looking forward to choreographing her first official lip sync as a counselor, pizza nights all summer long, and making so many friendship bracelets!

Zack (he/they)

From Brooklyn, NY he is the Waldo of camp, always in a stripped shirt! This will be their 9th summer on camp and 3rd as a counselor so he is a seasoned pro. You will find them all over camp! Whether that is leading a game of soccer, out with a frisbee, perhaps on the disc golf course, locked in on a board game or exploring with different wilderness activities. But being a great counselor is not their only talent, he also can play the trumpet while pogo sticking! He is excited for some late night campfires music and looking forward to getting back on camp!

Annie M (she/her)

From Waitsfield, VT she travels between there and the New Hampshire coast where she feels most at home, close to the ocean. Camp is her second home and this will be her 8th summer up here! She is looking forward to finally choreographing a. lip sync with her fire dance moves. She has been dreaming about being a counselor ever since her first year at camp when she created a diagram with a friend of how they would end up camp counselors together and look at her now! Her positive attitude and sunny personality, along with her love for camp will make her a fantastic counselor!

Ming (he/him)

From Manhattan, NY this will be his 8th summer on camp after being a camper, LIT, CIT, and counselor in years past he can't wait to make it another great summer! This summer he will be leading lots of build and woodworking activities and can't wait to make some awesome memories while making awesome things. He claims to always be able to respond to what you say with a rhyme so feel free to put those skills to the test! He is looking forward to having a blast at all the evening activities and section fires with great songs and stories being told.

Ani (she/her)

From Portland, Oregon and currently attending college in Middlebury, VT this will be her 1st summer at camp. While this is her first time at Hosmer Point, she has been working at camps for six years and just got her lifeguard certification so she can't wait to spend lots of time down at the waterfront! She also really enjoys arts and crafts, spending time outside, being silly and wacky as we do at camp, and is a spectacular fairy house builder and can't wait to show you her skills.

Thomas (he/him)

From Boston, MA but traveling and living all over including spending seven months in Patagonia and now moving all over the Northeast. This will be his 8th or 9th summer at camp after being a camper for years and participating in both the LIT and CIT leadership programs. He speaks Spanish, loves being outside, and is looking forward to leading lots of active activities. He absolutely can't wait to get back to all the amazing people!

Ella (she/her)

From Underhill, VT this will be her 7th summer on camp which have included being a camper, LIT and CIT. She is so excited to come back with old friends and meet new ones! Be sure to ask her about her headstanding abilities; she can hold one for a really long time, talent show here she comes. She can't wait to lead arts and crafts activities, jump in the lake for polar bears every morning, make friendship bracelets, and relax at the waterfront.

Midnight (he/him)

From San Francisco, CA this will be his 1st summer at camp. He is great at making people laugh, and being able to spread a little bit of happiness everywhere he goes. He has been a cabin leader for the San Mateo Outdoor Education program and just finished his internship progam there as a naturalist so he both has a passion and now the training to teach kids all about the outdoors. He can't wait to bring those skills to camp and is looking forward to spending his first summer in Vermont!
