Last night's CIT Surprise was Human Spoons! Campers competed with their Greek teams, racing through a series of challenges as quickly as they could. Our older campers were worn out after the excitement and headed straight to bed, while many of our younger campers gathered by the bay, singing songs around the campfire with plenty of instruments joining in.
Today is Link Day, which means camp runs on a completely different schedule than usual! We started the morning with bagels and lox before everyone pitched in during Community Work Time. Campers helped prepare for Call of the Loon by tackling jobs all around camp, including kitchen chores, emptying recycling, and cleaning out the costume closet, a task that always seems to need attention.
Next came our Cup Competition: Landorama! Greek teams divided up to compete in a variety of events, including friendship bracelet making, disc golf, tetherball, a boat relay, and archery. Every challenge earned valuable points toward the Kingdom Cup while giving campers a chance to cheer on their teammates.
This afternoon campers gathered for cabin photos and signed up for next week's Focus areas.
Tonight is one of the biggest traditions of the session: Call of the Loon. This all-camp event brings everyone together through teamwork, creativity, and plenty of camp spirit. It's sure to be an electric evening!
