Wait Lists

The session you want is full… Join the wait list!

Click the button above, log-in to your Parent Portal Account or create an account for your family, add your prospective camper to your account, then sign up for the wait list. You’ll receive a confirmation email when you’re signed up.

  • When you join the wait list, we’ll let you know about upcoming events, like online Q&A sessions for prospective campers.

  • If you don’t get a spot this year, you’ll get a chance to register before the general public for the next season.

What happens next?

We will contact you if a space opens up! Generally, we email families about openings and give them three days to respond before moving to the next family on the wait list. If we have a last minute opening, we may call or use a shorter timeline instead.

Wait List FAQs

Will my camper get a spot? When might I hear from you?

There is movement on wait lists throughout the winter, but mainly around and shortly after March 15, which is the deadline to cancel and still receive a full refund. After March 15, cancellations are unusual, although we do sometimes have last-minute openings due to injuries or illnesses. If you have an upcoming deadline for another program, feel free to reach out - sometimes we know of upcoming changes that may impact your ability to get a spot in the near future.

Where is my camper on the wait list?

Feel free to contact our office if you would like to know where your camper is on the wait list. However, because campers are usually on the list for more than one session, and because families change plans without notifying us, wait list position is not the best indicator of your chance of getting a spot.

Can I register for my second choice session and still stay on the wait list for my first choice?

Yes! And, there is no charge to switch sessions after you’ve registered.

Our availability has changed. Can I update the sessions for which we’re wait listed?

Yes, you can change your session selections from your Parent Portal account, by clicking on the wait list session and scrolling down to the “additional information” section - or send us an email and we’ll update it for you. We really appreciate when parents keep us updated, as it means we can offer the spot to someone else sooner. Even if you’re no longer officially on the wait list, you can still register early for the next year.

I signed up! What happens next?

You should receive a confirmation e-mail with next steps. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please get in touch with us, as this email contains important information and it is likely that your registration did not go through.

The session I want is full. Now what?

We suggest registering for the wait list for that session. We are frequently able to enroll campers from our wait lists, and wait listed campers are given priority when registering for the next season. Click here to sign up for the wait list!

How much does camp cost? Do you offer any discounts or scholarships?

Tuition at Hosmer Point is on a sliding scale. We ask each family to contribute what they can, so that we can stretch our resources as far as possible and give every child a chance to come to HP.  See the Sliding Scale Tuition page for more information.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! You can set up a plan when you check out, or later on from your Parent Portal account. There is no additional charge for payment plans.

My camper is transgender, non-binary, or does not identify with the gender they were assigned at birth. How should they register?

Your camper should register for the cabin where they will feel most comfortable. We have girls/non-binary, boys/non-binary, and “all genders” housing options. Please feel free to get in touch with our staff to discuss how we can meet your camper's specific needs.
