Friday started with a camp favorite breakfast: blueberry French toast with even more fresh fruit on the side!
Our Build activity has been hard at work all session on a secret project that we can't reveal just yet, but we're excited for campers to leave behind something that future campers will get to enjoy for years to come.
Just before lunch, we had a thunderstorm roll through, so everyone gathered safely in the dining hall for a thunder watch. Campers made the most of the unexpected break by playing games, chatting with friends, and enjoying some extra time together until the weather passed.
Lunch was leftovers, which meant campers got to enjoy a little bit of everything from the week.
The afternoon schedule shifted a bit with the rainy weather. Some campers enjoyed a relaxing Paint & Sip session, while others were still able to get out for sculling and sailing once conditions improved. Many campers also gathered to watch the Club World Cup match together. There was plenty of cheering, and Spain had lots of supporters around camp!
Dinner featured beef stroganoff with green beans and pasta, followed by molasses cookies for dessert.
In the evening, our CITs took the lead by running the all-camp activity as part of their leadership training. Campers played Camper Hunt, racing across camp to reach the finish without getting tagged by some of their favorite counselors. It was a fun way for our CITs to practice leading while the campers had an absolute blast.
Despite the rain, it was another memorable day full of laughter, flexibility, and plenty of camp fun.
