Another great day at Hosmer Point!
Last night’s evening activity was STONES!!, our HP version of capture the flag. Campers battled it out with their Grecian teams, and Corinth is currently in the lead! After the game, campers headed to their sections and enjoyed some extra campfire time filled with songs before winding down for the night. At 9:30pm, it was lights out!
This morning brought our first camper Polar Bears of the session! Campers were up and moving early before heading to breakfast for pancakes, sausage, and applesauce. After breakfast, campers took part in Community Work Time, helping take care of camp. Jobs included cleaning the Arts & Crafts cabin, helping in the dining hall, working with compost for the garden, and preparing food for the chickens. Campers then headed into their AM Focuses. Advanced Mountain Biking hit the trails, Farm & Garden made popsicles and helped with animal chores (including brushing the goats!), and CRAFTSbury got creative making shrinky dinks. After Focuses, campers headed to their first round of electives. Options included karaoke, paper flower making, giant kickball, water aerobics, and choreography.
Lunch was a delicious Taco Tuesday! Campers loaded up on tacos with plenty of toppings to choose from.
In the afternoon, campers continued with their PM Focuses. Wood Carving has been working on making their own cutlery, while Lake Living adjusted their plans due to today’s windy conditions. Safety comes first, so campers stayed warm and dry indoors while still enjoying their afternoon. Elective 2 brought even more fun with activities like Mafia Game, bookmark making, and so much more!
Even with some changing weather, campers have been making the most of every opportunity to learn, create, and enjoy camp together.
