We kicked off this beautiful morning with a camp favorite: bagels and lox for breakfast. Score!
Today marks the halfway point in our session, which we call Link Day. The usual schedule is set aside in favor of something a little more epic: an all-day celebration of the Greece-y Cup competition.
The Greece-y Cup is a full-session, all-camp event where campers are sorted into one of four mighty teams: Athens, Sparta, Corinth, or Thebes. Teams are mixed-age and cross-cabin, bringing the whole camp together in friendly competition.
This morning, teams faced off in Landorama, a chaotic, hilarious, and energetic series of games like tetherball, ping pong, races, and more. Everyone had a chance to join in, and the cheers could be heard from across the hills.
This afternoon brings a big moment: Call of the Loon. The oldest campers will be drawn at random to represent their teams in a variety of challenges. Past years have featured archery, basketball, canoeing, and the legendary long swim, just to name a few. Their teammates will be there to cheer them on every step of the way.
To top off the day, we will gather down at the waterfront for a BBQ Beach Party dinner. Sun, sand, music, and good food with great friends. What could be better?
Let the games continue!
